sala4D provided comprehensive master-planning, design and construction expertise to deliver Livvi’s Place at Taylor Park in Grenfell. Developed in partnership with Weddin Shire Council and the Touched by Olivia Foundation, this milestone project established the very first inclusive playground for Weddin Shire.
Bolstered by additional grants, including the Stronger Country Communities Fund, the project was successfully delivered with a total budget of $1.2 million. The completed playspace was firmly grounded in the NSW Government’s ‘Everyone Can Play’ guidelines and the six principles of Inclusive Play.
Our “Lizard Lookout” concept playfully evoked lizards resting on timber. The final constructed park provided diverse, accessible experiences for all ages and abilities, including:
- A securely fenced playspace integrated with an accessible loop path network.
- An accessible Lizard Lookout with accessible slide, nets and activity panels.
- Active play zones equipped with swings and a flying fox.
- A bicycle skills course with signage.
- Dedicated quieter areas featuring a toddler space and a youth zone.
